  • Now the recorder opens up and, assuming you know how to connect your microphone or headset to a computer, its time to get your audio levels right. You can do this by recording a few trail recordings with the JavaSonic recorder. When you hit the red record button for the first time, a pop up will appear asking you if its ok to do a recording. If so, please select OK.

    Record OK

If during your trial recording, the recorder looks like the one below, you are on track. Make sure you do not record to loud as the resulting audio will be distorted. Therefore, make sure your volume indicator bar stays in the green and avoid the red lights as much as you can. Changing the recording volume is dependent of your system but usually it involves fiddling with a few sliders and/or setting "Microphone Boost" on in your multimedia section of your PC.
